Well, Byte Sized Heroes has been in the works for about half a year now, and I think it's about time that I gave everyone a little update as to what I've been working on these past few months, as I haven't made any huge updates.
Programming...
Needless to say, there's been more programming work done than can actually be shown without showing you the source project itself. And, sadly, I'm not going to be doing that. Basically, most of the time working on it has been going into developing a map editor, storyboard, and visual scripting interface. Each can be used in conjunction, or separately to build singleplayer/co-op or online multiplayer maps, scenes, and more.
The Plan
Basically, the plan is to finish it. And, come August, that will be it, along with more content, obviously. That would mean you'll have a full sandbox at your disposal for an online multiplayer action platform/fighting game. My plan is to finish this in a few months, and then start using it, myself, to make individual chapters for the game's story. This will allow me to ship a completed game earlier, and release the story as purchasable DLC.
The Cost
1$. That's all it costs. For 1$ you will get the base game, with online and local multiplayer, a small explorable section of the main overworld, playable characters, and some map content to build your own maps in the editor.
Every DLC iteration afterwords will individually cost 1$ as well. I plan to have at least 14 DLC packages, and POSSIBLY stop there. Each iteration will include story/world content, at least one new character and armor set for each main character, and new map creation content that aligns with that used to build the new areas in the game, including enemies and obstacles.
So, ultimately, the full game WOULD cost 15$ if you bought it all individually. Instead, though, I'm going to package them all together as the "GAURDIAN Pass" bundle for 7.25$. Almost half the price for all the content, except, even better, the content will be made available as soon as it's created for all purchasers of the "GAURDIAN Pass", and all maps made with the map content can still be played with players that don't own that content. So... Yupp.
Just a small update, just to let everyone know exactly what's going on with Byte Sized Heroes.
